Geotest Expands PXI Express Controller Offering
Geotest has released its newest embedded controller for PXI Express platforms – the GX7944 PXI Express controller. Based on the Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.16 GHz processor, the GX7944 offers an aggregate PXIe bus bandwidth of up to 1 GB/s.
“As Geotest broadens its line of PXI Express products, we are continually updating our controller portfolio with products like the GX7944,” said Loofie Gutterman, president of Geotest. “For applications with compute-intensive or parallel processing requirements, this controller can offer a significant increase in performance and test throughput. We think this controller with it small size and high-performance makes it an ideal choice for use with our compact, 9-slot PXI Express chassis, the GX7600.”
Like all other Geotest PXI controllers, the GX7944 requires only one 3U PXI express slot – resulting in a test solution that offers high-peformance, high throughput capabilities, while minimizing the PXI system’s footprint.
