PXI-based Arbitrary Waveform Generator Provides Multiple Functions
Irvine, CA (August 1, 2002) - Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., a global supplier of electronic test equipment for aerospace, semiconductors, telecom, medical, industrial and military applications today announced the release of new PXI-based Arbitrary Waveform Generators.
Acting as all-in-one instruments, the GX1200 and GX1201 provide a synergistic combination of a function generators, arbitrary waveform synthesizers and programmable sequencers. With all of these features, the GX1200/1201 deliver a lower cost than comparable bench-type or VXI-based instruments.
The GX1200 has a sample rate of 50MS/s while the GX1201 boosts a sample rate of 100MS/s, both making an ideal modulation source for troubleshooting new encoding schemes. The GX1200/1201 also has the following features:
- 10 digits sample clock frequency setting, limited 1uS/s
- 1ppm clock accuracy and stability
- Multiple instrument synchronization
- 14-bit vertical resolution
- Sequences of up to 4096 waveforms
- Ultra fast waveform downloads using DMA
- Frequency agility: FSK, Ramped FSK, Sweep, FM, Arbitrary FM
The GX1200/GX1201 comes with the ArbConnection software that is used to control instrument functions, modes and features such as generating, editing and downloading waveforms from a remote computer. Both have outstanding low phase noise characteristics and carrier stability, especially needed for telecommunication and channel separation applications.
