The Marvin Group Awarded Contract With Westland Helicopters

Irvine, Calif. (August 2, 2004) – The Marvin Group (Inglewood, CA) is proud to announce the signing of a contract with Westland Helicopters Limited (Yeovil, UK), an AgustaWestland Company, for the lease of armament test sets made by Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc. (Irvine, CA) a Marvin Group company. The comprehensive and ultra-rugged AN/TSM-205A weapon system flight-line test sets will be used by UK MOD personnel to support the AgustaWestland Apache AH Mk-1 helicopters. The use of the AN/TSM-205A will increase aircraft availability and readiness while reducing maintenance costs.

The AN/TSM-205A performs parametric functional test on the integrated Hellfire Longbow system as installed on the aircraft and test the entire fire control system from the cockpit switches to the launch rails. The AN/TSM-205A is also capable of performing a full functional, parametric test on the M299 launcher as well as on the launcher’s electronic assembly (LEA). The rugged construction of the AN/TSM-205A makes it operable anywhere in the world, from scorching desert temperatures to sub-zero winter temperatures. The AN/TSM-205A meets or exceeds the environmental specifications of any test set in use by the military today.
