Geotest's New Drivers Offer Support for Linux and LabVIEW RT Software Environment
Geotest has announced the release of GtLinux 1.0, a new software driver package that allows customers to run the company’s PXI instruments on Linux. The package includes support for Geotest’s line of DC source instruments (GX1642/8), the GTX2200 counter/timer family, the user-configurable GX3500 Flex Digital I/O FPGA card, and the GX5731/2/3 and GX5641/2 static digital I/O cards. The GtLinux driver package supports both 32- and 64-bit Linux OSs and is compatible with the Linux kernel 2.6 or higher.

In addition, Geotest has released an update to its instrument driver libraries, which will support Geotest’s PXI instruments under the National Instruments LabVIEW Real-Time software environment.

“Geotest has a customer base with a diverse set of requirements. With the release of GtLinux, customers with specific needs or specialized applications can take advantage of Geotest’s instrument products for non-Windows based applications,” said Ron Yazma, vice president of software engineering.

If you would like to learn more about the GtLinux driver package or any other of Geotest's PXI or PC-based test instruments, software and automated test solutions and services, or how Geotest can customize a solution to fit your needs, visit Geotest online or contact your regional sales representative.
