The Workspace file contains shortcuts to all open documents. It also contains the state and position of Document view windows, as they were last saved in the IDE. When you restart, ATEasy uses the information in the Workspace file to restore the workspace to the state it was in when you exited. (You can control this feature through the Reload Last Workspace at Startup option as shown in Workspace Options.)
You view the Workspace file in the Workspace window. A single workspace file can contain multiple projects, as well as non-project files. The Workspace file organizes information using a tree.
When you first run ATEasy, it displays a blank Workspace file. If the Workspace window is not visible or if you want to create a new Workspace file, do the following:
1. From
the File menu, select New .
2. In the New dialog box, select the Workspace file type.
3. Click OK to close the dialog box. A blank Workspace window appears in the IDE. You can now add a project to the Workspace window.
The Workspace file is automatically saved whenever you exit ATEasy. To save the current Workspace file without exiting, select Save Workspace from the File menu.
To open a Workspace File.
1. From
the File menu, select Open .
2. In the Open dialog, select the Workspace (WSP) file type.
3. Click on the Workspace file you want to open. The file appears in the Workspace window of the IDE.
When you open another workspace, the previous workspace is closed. If there are files modified, not saved, Save Modified File Dialog will be displayed. This dialog is new in ATEasy version 5.0.
