Use this dialog box to add, change, and delete the access profiles of ATEasy users. Only Administrator-level users have access to this dialog box.

Users list box

Shows all users currently defined for ATEasy. To delete a user profile, click the user name and then click Delete. To change a user profile, click the user name, enter the appropriate values into the User properties fields, then click Change.

User Properties

       User Name - When adding a new user, enter the user name here. This is the name that the user types into the ATEasy Login dialog box when logging in to ATEasy or accessing the Users dialog box.

       Full Name - Enter the full name of the new user here.

       Password - If the user will be required to enter a password when logging in to ATEasy or accessing the Users dialog box, enter the password here. Users can later change their passwords using the Change Password command.

       Verify - Reenter the password to verify it.

       Short Menus - Default: Unchecked. Check if the user should have access to a limited set of ATEasy menus only.

        Locked (v10, 156d) - Default: Unchecked. Check if the user account is locked. Locked accounts users are unable to login. Warning: You must have at least one administrator account that is not locked.

User Rights group box

Use these fields to define or change a user's access to ATEasy.

Group

Select the group whose access rights you want to assign to the user. The available groups are and default access rights are:

        Administrators: Have all access rights.

        Driver Authors: Have all access rights except Administrator.

        System Authors: Have all access rights except Modify Drivers and Administrator.

        Program Authors: Have all access rights except Modify Systems, Modify Drivers, and Administrator.

        Testers: Have only Execute and Debug Tests access rights.

        Custom: All access rights are initially cleared. Select specific access rights to create a custom access profile for a user.

The following users rights can be checked for the selected user's group

        Execute - Click here to give the user the right to execute programs. All user groups have this right.

        Debug Tests - Click here to give the user the right to debug tests. All predefined user groups have this right.

        Debug Code - Click here to give the user the right to debug code. All predefined user groups except Testers have this right.

        View Programs - Click here to give the user the right to view programs. All predefined user groups except Testers have this right.

        View Systems - Click here to give the user the right to view systems. All predefined user groups except Testers have this right.

        View Drivers - Click here to give the user the right to view drivers. All predefined user groups except Testers have this right.

        Modify Programs - Click here to give the user the right to modify programs. All predefined user groups except Testers have this right.

        Modify Systems - Click here to give the user the right to modify programs. All predefined user groups except Program Authors and Testers have this right.

        Modify Drivers - Click here to give the user the right to modify drivers. All predefined user groups except System Authors, Program Authors, and Testers have this right.

        Modify Projects - Click here to give the user the right to modify projects. All user groups except Testers have this right.

        Administrator - Click here to give the user the right to add, modify, and delete user access profiles. Only the Administrators user group has this right. If you provide this right to a Custom group, that group automatically gets all other access rights.

Login Options (v10, 156d)

Default: 0. Set the options to define the users login and password policies. When 0 is used no rule is enforced. The following login options are available:

Use Login Dialog

Default: Unchecked. Click here to prompt the user with ATEasy Login dialog when ATEasy starts.

Audit Options (v10, 156d)

Default: Unchecked. Set the ATEasy Windows Event Log audit options. The events can be viewed using Windows Event Viewer that can be opened by Windows search 'Event Viewer'. ATEasy events will show under 'Applications and Service Logs', 'ATEasy'. When checked, audit records will be generated for the following events and their event ID number:

        Audit User Log In/Off - records to the ATEasy Windows Application Event Log:

Add

Click here to add a new user, using the values you specified in the User properties fields.

Delete

Click here to remove the selected user.

Change

Click here to change the selected user's access rights to the values that you specified in the User properties fields.

Clear User

Click here to clear the values in the User properties fields.

File Name

This shows the user file path/name.  You can change the user file to another file path.

(v10, 156d) Note: In order to protect the user file from being replaced or deleted, Windows Administrators should use the Windows security access permissions to protect the file. Typically Windows users that serve as ATEasy Administrator users will have read/write access while other users will have only read access.
