DIO Connectors

The GX5050 has 4 connectors. All the connectors are available on the instrument’s front panel.

The GX5050 has the following connectors:

Name
Description
J1 I/O
UUT Control signals
J2 I/O
UUT I/O Signals
J7 Timing Control
Timing Module Control Signals. Do not use on Slave.
J8 Timing
Timing Signals Daisy-chained to additional slaves.

Connectors J1 (UUT I/O Control), J2 (UUT I/O Signals) and J8 (Timing Control Signals) are 68-pin VHD connectors. J8 is 20-pin high-density header that is used to Daisy-chained additional Slave DIOs to achieve a pattern that is wider than 32 channels.

The figure below shows the layout of a 68-Pin VHD connectors used for UUT I/O and timing signals. The 68-pin male end plate connector has a shielded, double pin row receptacle. The connector mates with a UUT cable.

68-Pin UUT I/O Data Connector, J5

Notes for Table A-1:

     Pin: Pin number

     I/O: Input or Output

     P: Power/GND

IO0 – IO31: Differentially Coupled Data Lines. Non-differential I/O Modules, all IOx-(negated) lines are grounded.

MS: I/O Module specific, See the “GX I-O Modules and Interfaces User's Guide (PXI)” for complete pin listings for I/O modules.
