The GX5150 (Master) has 5 connectors while the GX5151 (Slave) has 3. All the connectors are available on the instrument’s front panel.
The GX5150 (Master) has the following connectors:
Name |
Description |
J1 I/O |
UUT Control signals |
J2 I/O |
UUT I/O Signals |
J1 Timing Control |
Timing Module Control Signals. |
J7 Timing |
Timing Signals Daisy-chained to additional slaves on the left. |
J8 Timing |
Timing Signals Daisy-chained to additional slaves on the right. |
The two UUT connectors (J1 & J2) and the Timing connector (J1) are 68-pin VHD connectors. J7 and J8 are 20-pin high-density headers that are used to Daisy-chained additional Slave DIOs to achieve a pattern that is wider than 32 channels.
The GX5151 Slave has the following connectors:
Name |
Description |
J1 I/O |
UUT Control signals |
J2 I/O |
UUT I/O Signals |
J7 Timing |
Timing Signals Daisy-chained to additional slaves on the left. |
The two UUT connectors (J1 & J2) are 68-pin VHD connectors. J7 is a 20-pin high-density header.
The figure below shows the layout of the 68-Pin VHD connectors used for UUT and timing signals. The 68-pin male end plate connector has a shielded, double pin row receptacle. The connector mates with a UUT cable.

68-Pin UUT I/O Data Connector, J2
Notes for the table:
Pin – Pin number
I/O – Input or Output
P – Power/GND
I/O0 – I/O31– Differentially Coupled Data Lines.
For non-differential I/O Modules, all IOx-(negated) lines are grounded.
See the GX I-O Modules and Interfaces User's Guide (PXI) for complete pin listings for I/O modules.
