The DIO System (a DIO Domain) is made up of a Master and Slave(s) circuit boards. The Master board can be connected to a maximum of 15 Slave boards expanding the number of channels in the domain. All external inputs, external clocks/strobes and controls are done primarily through the Master board.
The Master distributes clock, control and status signals to all the Slaves in the domain through the PXI Bus.
Any GX5295 board can be a Master or a Slave programmatically.
