Measurements

The GX5295 has the capability to measure voltage, current and the pin electronics’ internal temperature. The I/O voltages and each channel’s temperature can be measured and read back at any point while output currents can only be measured when the specified channel is in PMU mode (Forced Current or Forced Voltage). When in PMU mode, measurements can be used to characterize and measure a digital pin’s DC characteristics. The current measurements made in PMU mode are in mA and correlate to the PMU‘s force current range settings.

Note that while each channel has a dedicated PMU, the measurement resource is shared between all 32 channels requiring sequential measurement of each channel. For pass / fail measurements, each PMU includes a high and low comparator. Using this comparator, the user can program high and low measurement values – allowing for fast parallel pass/fail parametric measurements.
