GT5950 is a plug-in module for the GT5150 and GT5900. The GT5950 compares vectors in real time between two units, or between a UUT and the DIO memory. The vector width can be programmed for 8, 16 or 32 bit. A maximum of 256 failures (step and data) can be stored. There is a learn mode that can be used to learn vectors from a Known Good Board (KGB) to DIO memory. A fail output is available to pause the DIO on comparison fail. There are also several Ignore modes to mask out pre-determined comparison patterns. The GT5950 operates as an input device only.
The GT5950 consists of a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and buffers. The FPGA logic consists of : a Compare Engine, that compares the two selected inputs according to the ignore mode; Byte Manipulators, that adjust the vector and result according to the selected width; a Failure RAM to store the first 256 failure masks; and a Serial Communication Port to communicate with the PC through the DIO interface.
