Introduction

Marvin Test Solutions provides I/O Modules as interface adapters to meet special interface needs. I/O Modules are daughter cards that mount onto GT515X DIO boards and the GT5900 Carrier boards that support GT25/50-DIO boards. A GT5900 Carrier also supports non-TTL UUT interfaces to a GT5150 Timing Module (GT5105 daughter card).

GT25/50-DIO boards have no provision for mounting I/O Modules directly. They require GT5900 Carriers.

The Table below identifies Marvin Test Solutions’s family of I/O Modules. These are part of the DIO system and connect to the parent GT515X or GT5900 via two 100-pin headers. Two standoffs provide mechanical rigidity. The boards interface with UUTs and external test equipment through the UUT cabling using rear mounted 68-pin connectors.

I/O Module Application

One I/O Module daughter card is required for each GT515X board and must be specified when GT515X is ordered.

I/O Modules are factory mounted on the Carrier or GT515X board. The default GT5910 card provides TTL levels. Should interface requirements change, additional I/O modules can be purchased and installed (only the I/O Module is changed). You can select an appropriate card type for a UUT interface. Basic DIO or Carrier boards are reused.

A GT5900 Carrier board is necessary in order to use I/O Modules in a GT25/50-DIO domain. The Carrier board occupies one ISA slot and provides mounting for up to two daughter cards.
