GX3756 Virtual Panel Serial Output Page

After the board is initialized, the panel is enabled and will display the current setting of the board. The following picture shows the serial-out page settings:

The following controls are shown in the Serial page:

All Serial Channels Timing Settings - Group 0 Channels 0-3 (uSec) Group Box:

Contain the serial timing settings common for all four serial-out channels.

Data Bits Pulse Width Group Box:

Logic High Edit Box: Sets/displays the serial-out data bits pulse width for the logic high time in microseconds for all 4 serial-out channels.

Logic Low Edit Box: Sets/displays the serial-out data bits pulse width for the logic low time in microseconds for all 4 serial-out channels.

Bit Rate Edit Box: Sets/displays the time in microseconds for each serial transmitted bit for all 4 serial-out channels.

Trigger Delay Edit Box: Sets/displays the serial-out trigger delay time for all four serial-out channels.

Serial Channel Group Box:

Channel List: Sets/displays all the specific serial channel settings. Selections are: Group 0 Channel 0, Group 0 Channel 1, Group 0 Channel 2, and Group 0 Channel 3.

Mode List: Sets/displays the specified serial-out channel operation mode, selections are: Static I/O and Serial-out.

Shift Mode List: Sets/displays the specified serial-out channel number shift out mode, selections are; Left MSB First and Right LSB First.

Num of Bits List: Sets/displays the specified serial-out channel number of bits to transmit, selections are 1-64.

Trigger Source List: Sets/displays the specified serial-out channel number trigger source. Selections are: Software, PXI Trigger Line0, PXI Trigger Line1, PXI Trigger Line2, PXI Trigger Line3, PXI Trigger Line4, PXI Trigger Line5, PXI Trigger Line6, PXI Trigger Line7, Group1 Ch0 Rising Edge, Group1 Ch0 Falling Edge, Group1 Ch1 Rising Edge, Group1 Ch1 Falling Edge, Group1 Ch2 Rising Edge, Group1 Ch2 Falling Edge, Group1 Ch3 Rising Edge, and Group1 Ch3 Falling Edge.

Trigger Mode List: Sets/displays the specified serial-out channel number trigger mode, selections are: One-shot (requires rearming), and Continuous (Arm once).

Serial Channel Data (Hex) Group Box:

Sets/displays the specified serial-out channel 64-bit of data to be transmitted.

Arm Off button: Arm is OFF, the channel will not respond to any trigger.

Arm On button: Arm is ON, the channel will respond to any trigger.

Trig button: Issues a software trigger to the specified serial-out channel number.

Reset button: Reset the specified serial-out channel to default settings.
