Note: All PXI chassis are required to supply at least 30 watts of power per slot. For high performance applications or multiple card configurations, a PXI chassis needs to be selected that has adequate DC power and cooling capabilities such as the GX7305, GX7315, GX7205 or GX7215. These chassis can deliver 60 watts per slot, have a high capacity cooling system, and can support a full complement of GX5296 cards.
Caution
- The GX5296 can dissipate significant heat. It is essential
that the PXI chassis’ cooling system not be restricted and that all
blank PXI slots be closed. Any air flow restrictions such as dirty
air filters or blocked ventilation openings can result in excessive
heat rise within the chassis and damage to the GX5296.
