The following picture shows the Standard Waveforms page followed by an explanation of each one of the controls displayed on the page:

GX1632e Virtual Panel – Voltages Setup page

Group and Channel Dropdown lists: Selects the group and channel number of the channel that will be read and written.

Output Groupbox: This group displays the characteristics specific of the selected channel.  Channels are programmed independently of one another.  Waveform characteristics are saved into board memory using the Load button.

Shape Dropdown list: Selects the shape of the waveform to load to the selected channel.

Copy Settings button: Copies the settings of the current selected channel into an internal clipboard.

Paste Settings button: Pastes the settings from the internal clipboard to the current selected channel.

Reset Channel button: Resets the selected channel.  This will disable output, set the waveform shape to Sine, set amplitude to 5.0Vpp, set start phase to 0 degrees, set offset to 0 V, and set the sample rate to 1000 samples per second.

Amp (Vp-p) Edit box: Select/Display the channel’s amplitude in peak-to-peak Volts.

Phase (degrees) Edit box: Select/Display the channel’s start phase in degrees.

Offset (V) Edit box: Select/Display the channel’s voltage offset.

Frequency (Hz) Edit box: Select/Display the channel’s sample rate in Hertz.

DC (%) Edit box: Select/Display the channel’s duty cycle, enabled if the shape is set to Square.

Clock Groupbox: This group display the board’s clock settings and its relationship with the chassis’ domain of GX1632e cards.

Role Dropdown list: Selects the board’s role within the domain.  A leader shares its input clock with other boards.

Output Dropdown list: Select/Display the pin that a leader will generate a clock signal on.

Input Dropdown list: Select/Display the current board’s input clock source.

Run button: Will begin outputting waveforms on all enabled channels loaded into memory.

Stop button: Stops all waveform generation, returning each channel to output 0 Volts.

Save Config button: Save this board’s current waveform characteristics to a file.

Load Config button: Recall a previously saved waveform configuration.
