The GX3348 series is a 6U PXI Analog input and output card which has multiple DC Sources and a switch matrix for supporting multiple I/O connections. The GX3348 series is available in four configurations, the GX3348, the GX3348-64, the GX3348A and the GX3348-64; with the GX3348 supporting 48 channels and the 64 configuration supporting 64 channels. The “A” version includes a pulse generator source in addition to the DC voltage sources. The GX3348 has three analog rails and an additional ground rail that can be connected to the full switch matrix, allowing any of the four rails to be routed to any of the 48 outputs (GX3348/GX3348A) or 64 outputs (GX334864/GX3348A-64). Each of the three analog rails has a dedicated programmable high current DC voltage source that can be programmed from -20V to +32V with 1mV of resolution. The source of the rails can be set programmatically to a dedicated programmable high current DC voltage source, external input, the chassis’ 5V power supply, an amplified external input, or an internal pulse generator (available on Rail A only for GX3348 modules with firmware version 0x0000AC00 and above).
Each of the 48 or 64 channels includes DC measurement capability for each I/O channel. Channel measurements can be performed using an on-board 16-bit A to D converter. In addition, there are eight general-purpose digital I/O lines.
