The GX5731 is a 6U PXI instrument board that provides seven ports of 32 channels parallel input and output for a total of 224 channels. The seven ports are composed of four Digital I/O ports and three ports that can be configured using variety of I/O Modules interfacing different UUTs.
The four TTL level Digital I/O ports channels have TTL levels, and the direction of each group of eight channels can be programmed as Input or Output.
The three I/O Modules ports expand the ability of the GX5731 by mounting different I/O Modules. Those I/O Module enable the GX5731 to acquire or transmit 32 channels vectors each by using high-speed FIFO as well as interfacing different voltage levels, compare data on the fly and output high power signals to name a few.
All installed I/O Modules can be programmed to run using internal or external strobe. When using the internal strobe, each the I/O Module can use any of eight available signals, two Internal programmable clock signals and six external user clock lines.
When programmed for external strobe, all I/O Modules the hardware Strobed Output/Input Handshaking Signals mechanism. This Handshake mechanism allows the I/O Modules to communicate with the UUT using Handshaking protocol and control by the hardware.
