As explained in Entering Code, you enter code by typing it into the Code area of a procedure or task. However, entering object names manually can produce errors. To avoid errors you can use the "drag and drop" feature on an object name.
1. Make sure the view containing the Code area is open. For information on Object views, see Displaying Object Views.
2. Click in the Code area to make it active. Type in the code. When you need to type in the name of an object, click on the object.
3. While pressing the mouse key, drag the object to the place in code where you want the object name to appear.
4. Release the mouse key. The name of the object appears in the Code area as text. You can manipulate this name like any other piece of text.
For more information on the dragging and dropping feature, see Dragging and Dropping.
