The following general precautions should be observed:
● Leave the board in its bag until installation.
● Turn off power and wait at least 30 seconds before beginning installation.
● Wear a grounding strap.
● Make certain there is sufficient clearance and that there is a suitable ISA backplane slot to receive each board. All DIO boards must be located in adjacent slots.
● Carefully unpack the new board. Hold the board only by its edge (like a photo negative). Do not drop or handle it roughly.
● Lay the new board on its anti-static bag and follow the General Installation Procedure.
