ISA I/O Modules and Interfaces User's Guide

This User Guide provides information needed to install and configure Marvin Test Solutions’s line of DIO I/O Modules, I/O Module Carrier and Interface components.

Required Knowledge and Skills

This User Guide is written for a user who is familiar with PC computers in a Windows environment.

The information in the User's Guide is organized in the following chapters:

Discusses features and properties of I/O Module daughter cards.
GT5900 Carrier Board
Discusses features and properties of the GT5900 Carrier ISA board.
Interface Cards
Describes features and properties of external components that facilitate interconnection.
Appendix A - Connectors and Cables
Provides information for connecting boards that contain I/O modules and information for connecting Interface cards.

Abbreviations

 “GT25/50-DIO” refers to both the GT25-DIO and GT50-DIO circuit boards.

“GT515X” refers to the both the GT5150 and GT5151 circuit boards.

“VHD” is very high density and refers to a 68-pin, SCSI 3-type connector with closely spaced pins. These connectors are used on GT515X and Carrier board brackets to achieve high connectivity.

“UUT” is the unit under test. This includes the item to be tested, associated test jigs, test fixtures, external waveform generators, and test and measurement equipment.

“Software User Guide” refers to the “DIO Software User's Guide”.
