Geotest Discusses Future of Test & Measurement Software at Electronics Show
Irvine, CA (September 13, 2002) - Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., a global supplier of electronic test equipment for aerospace, semiconductors, telecom, medical, industrial and military applications, will participate in a panel discussion on the future of test development software since the creation of Microsoft's Dot-Net Strategy.
Geotest Vice President of Software Engineering Ron Yazma will join the "What Does Microsoft's Dot-Net (.NET) Strategy Mean for Test & Measurement Software?" roundtable at WESCON North America OEM Electronics Exhibition and Conference in Anaheim, CA on Sept. 24-26.
Microsoft .NET is a set of Microsoft software technologies for connecting your world of information, people, systems, and devices. .NET combines many technologies starting from smart clients such as Windows XP, XML web services and servers to various development tools based on Visual Studio .NET.
Mr. Yazma will share his experiences in using .NET strategy to enhance Geotest's award-winning test development software ATEasy.
"In the test arena, .NET translates mainly into better connectivity. XML, the universal language for data exchange, which is a core part of .NET, enables an unprecedented level of software integration. By using XML, developers can describe various elements of the test objects, including Test Requirements and Test Results. These elements can be later used to generate Test Reports and to interchange with applications such as databases, fault analysis and more," said Mr. Yazma.
