Geotest Wins Bid For GE Transportation Test Systems
IRVINE, Calif. (July 8, 2003) Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., a global supplier of electronic test equipment for aerospace, semiconductor, telecom, medical, industrial and military applications today announced that it has received a contract from GE Transportation, for TS-329 Automatic Test Sets.
The TS-329 is a sophisticated mixed-signal, PXI-based test set capable of testing and troubleshooting analog, digital, and microprocessor-based boards. The innovative TS-329 can simultaneously test up to 5 boards at ambient temperatures, as well as at low and high temperatures (-45°C to +85°C). The TS-329 is based on Geotest's GX7000 6U PXI chassis (2 per system), accommodating up to 40 6U and 3U PXI cards including analog, digital, switching, communications, and ROM emulation. The system's controller is powered by Geotest's award-winning ATEasy software that will be used to develop the test programs and as a test executive.
GE Transportation required a reliable, cost-effective PXI-based system to improve their test and troubleshooting capabilities of complex boards used on locomotives. Geotest won the bid with the TS-329 because it provided the best technical approach, combined with innovative architecture and cost effectiveness.
