Geotest Introduces the GX7404 Power Interface Prototyping Board

Irvine, Calif. (July 15, 2004) – Geotest - Marvin Test Systems, Inc., is pleased to announce the release of the GX7404, a new 3U power interface prototyping board. The GX7404 is a low cost method of providing controlled power to interface and test target circuitry. It permits +5V, +3.3V, +12V, and -12V power outputs present on the PXI motherboard to be switched through a DB25 connector for use by the unit under test and interface circuitry. It also offers software-controlled On/Off switching and voltage & current monitoring, an external power inhibit line, an on board prototyping area, and occupies just one PXI slot.

“The GX7404 was developed based on requests from customers who needed and easy and inexpensive way to provide monitored power to their Unit Under Test (UUT), and in some cases, needed to use a custom circuit to interface to the UUT,” said David Manor, Geotest’s Vice President of Engineering.

The GX7404 is also supplied with a software package that includes a virtual panel stand-alone application, driver, and on-line documentation. Instrument settings can be controlled and changed interactively via the virtual panel window or by using the driver library from within the user’s application. In addition, various interface files provide access to the library from popular programming tools and languages, including ATEasy
