Powerful Software Simulation with ATEasy 9.0
Simulating Test Program and System Simulation is a key feature for ATEasy 9.0 and offers users the following benefits and capabilities:- Develop and verify test programs without spending valuable time on the tester or needing access to a UUT.
- Compile and run the test program without any hardware or UUT
- Leverage concurrent test program development from multiple developers
- Trace and analyze test program performance
- Utilize a consistent way to characterize and validate test programs
- Simulate without modifying existing code
|
ATEasy 9.0 delivers a combined use of instrument simulation and instrument control simultaneously. A simulation routine can place timing structures around the instrument commands to measure performance of the instrument while in operation. This is accomplished without modifying the instrument driver or otherwise impacting the test program. Once performance parameters have been established, the simulation can simply be disabled, allowing the program to run normally. No code changes are required.

Incorporating a Solid State LASER Source for LASER-Guided Munitions
Continuing technology advancements in armament systems has required the United States Air Force to pursue new upgrade strategies, especially ones that allow existing depot test system assets to be upgraded to address (re-host) the testing and repair of weapons systems that incorporate laser technologies previously tested on aging and obsolete systems.
The complexity of these armament systems is driving the Services to look for creative ways to upgrade depot test systems by leveraging their existing test assets. Thanks to its platform flexibility, PXI-based test systems offer the capabilities to expand current test assets. The modular design of the existing TS-217 test system afforded test engineers the ability to augment the existing test platform such that both LRU and SRU level test capabilities were part of the complete solution. Additionally, by incorporating an innovative optical bench with a solid-state target, a complete functional simulation of the weapon was achievable including testing of operational limits.

ICEasy Test Library
ICEasy is an ATEasy add-on module that is used to facilitate programming MTS’ Dynamic Digital IO (DIO) boards for semiconductor test applications. Supplied with MTS’ TS-900 semiconductor test system software suite, the ICEasy test library offers users the ability to quickly develop and deploy tests for semiconductor devices.
ICEasy’s key features include: - Pin Mapping between DIO channels and UUT pin names
- Creation of Pin Groups and nested groups as well as providing the ability to perform various test functions on a group
- Faster creation of predefined tests (Continuity, IDD, IDDQ, Voltage Threshold, Leakage, etc.)
- Sweeping functions and Plots (Shmoo, I/V Curve, etc.)
- Virtualization of the digital subsystem, allowing reuse of ICEasy-based code with future MTS boards
- Simulation features, allowing you to test and run your program with no hardware
An example of a Shmoo plot generated in ATEasy that represents the test results based on a sweep of the VCC and operating frequencies.
