Geotest's Test Systems Engineering group consists of 15 test engineers and 16 support personnel. Its purpose is to address customers' test application requirements and help them complete their testing solutions on time and on budget.
According to Tom Tierney, vice president of systems engineering at Geotest, the backgrounds of its test engineers encompass virtually all segments of the electronic marketplace. Many have special skill sets including, but not limited to, aerospace, medical, automotive, military, and commercial electronics.
Customized for your needs If you need a specific test solution and can't find it, this group of test engineers will provide the expert personal attention required to help you create a new product or test solution that fits your needs or Geotest can modify one of our existing PXI products or systems. Many customer projects started as unique, one-of-a-kind solutions, but subsequently have been reused in other customer applications or integrated into one of Geotest's own projects.
Tierney explains that to understand a customer's test solution requirements, the engineering group will meet with a customer's engineers either at the customer's site or via teleconference. Weekly or as-needed technical exchanges are conducted, usually via email, to keep the project on time and on track.
From legacy systems to cutting edge Geotest also offers a broad line of replacement products for obsolete GPIB signal sources from Agilent, Wavetek, and Tektronix. These legacy replacement parts are guaranteed to be form-fit-function replacements for the components they replace, and you won't need to change any of the software on the obsolete system.
If you want a turnkey test system, the Geotest engineers can help you not only with design, but also with integration of your test solution. The result is an end-to-end hardware and software test solution which includes all aspects of the development — from requirements analysis, design and fabrication to integration and documentation.
"Our goal with any project is customer satisfaction, and we pride ourselves on our product workmanship," said Tierney. "A significant portion of our customer base is repeat business." Feedback shows that customers return because they are impressed with our depth of knowledge, expertise, quality, and product support.
Whether you require a PXI instrument that no one else has, need to replace an obsolete component in one of your systems, or you want a complete, turnkey test system, you'll enjoy the ease and simplicity of bringing your test application development needs to our design experts.
