Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) Master Chassis' include peripherals embedded in the chassis, such as SSD or NVmE storage.
This allows MTS Master chassis' to use a Single-Board Computer embedded controller (SBC) and provides maximum instrumentation slots.
See the specific Master Chassis information for peripherals included with the chassis.
Embedded peripherals are accessible by an embedded PC controller via a Rear Transition Module (RTM).
RTM's are specific to an embedded PC controller and the chassis must be configured with the compatible RTM to work with the installed embedded controller.
A Master chassis may use a bus expander (MXI) in place of an embedded PC controller, but bus expanders will not be able to access the embedded peripherals.
For clarity, all Master chassis' are listed only with their compatible SBC controllers.

†† Marvin Test Solutions Slave Chassis do not contain embedded peripherals and requires an external host computer (external master PXI chassis or desktop computer).
Slave chssis typically connect to a host PC via a bus expander, such as MXI. It is expected that the host PC will contain all of the peripherals required by the system.

††† The GX7800 chassis only comes in a Slave configuration (no embedded peripherals).
The embedded controllers listed provide on-board SSD which allow the GX7800 to function as a Master chassis.
